| MISSIONS EMPHASIS SUNDAY ! |
"I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish. That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are at Rome." Romans 1:14-15
The Apostle Paul truly had the heart of a missionary! He was always ready to go and impart his knowledge of Christ to all people in every place. His desire to spread the Gospel was a magnificent obsession.
All of the hardships Paul went through during his ministry were counted as naught when compared to the privilege of preaching Christ. Once, when Paul was travelling towards Jerusalem, the brethren tried to dissuade him from going. That was because of the prophecy given by Agabus, the prophet, that if Paul went to Jerusalem, he would be bound in prison. Paul replied, "Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus," Acts 21:13-14. Thank God for men like Paul!
We have a wonderful missions program. Friday and Saturday we spent 24 hours in prayer on behalf of our missions work. Christians in Africa and Asia participated with us in these prayers. What a blessing to have Bheki Mamba and his family in Swaziland, and Patinya Thitathan and his family in Thailand.
This Sunday, March 5, we are having a special presentation that we are calling "MISSIONS EMPHASIS SUNDAY". Be here Sunday morning as we fan the flame for spreading the Gospel into the entire world!
