CONSIDER THE SOURCE

          "I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up."           Galatians 1:11.

 

          A significant truth presented in the Bible is that the message is of Divine origin.   The powerful Gospel of Christ was not invented by intelligent men who somehow devised a system of salvation that would appeal to those who heard.   In fact, the Gospel message is considered to be foolish nonsense by the wise men of our age [1 Cor 1:21ff].   The power of the Gospel is found in its source.   It is powerful because it came from God Himself!

          When faithful men and women hear the Gospel, investigate its claims, and believe its message, a powerful transformation takes place.   Those who stole steal no more.   Liars become truthful people.   Those with loose morals become pure and holy.   Hope rises in the hearts of all who believe.

          Simply put, those who were dead in their trespasses and sins are made alive in Christ.   Since the source of the Gospel is Divine, we should not be surprised when amazing transformations take place in the lives of those who obey.

          We who believe need to share the message with others.   We must give the lost a chance to hear the good news.   If they will consider the source (God), believe and obey the message, they will be saved.   Their lives will be changed.

          "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!", [2 Cor 5:17].
