| Making Worship More Meaningful |
It is our goal to provide an atmosphere where worshippers can experience the opportunity of communing with God in worship. It is no easy task! Throughout our brotherhood churches are struggling with how to get the most out of worship. If there was an easy solution to the problem, we would have solved it long ago.
We have a worship committee that is looking into ways to improve our worship experience. The major elements of our worship are prescribed in Scripture and we dare not add to nor take away from these Biblical examples. However, our goal is to provide you with the opportunity to have a meaningful worship experience. We hope we are accomplishing this task.
If you think about it, much of the responsibility for successful worship lies in the one who attends services. We can provide good songs, prayers for the sick, Scripture readings, and sermons from the Word. We can provide the proper elements and atmosphere for you to partake of the Lord's Supper. We can collect the offering in a solemn and proper manner. What we cannot do is prepare your heart for meaningful worship.
Take time on Saturday night to begin preparing yourself for worship. Get a good night's sleep. Arise Sunday morning early enough to get ready for services without being stressed out. Say a prayer before you leave home asking for God's help as you leave for worship. As you enter the building, put all the cares of the world aside. Concentrate on communing with the Lord. Successful worship has a lot to do with attitude. Bring a GOOD one with you! See you Sunday!
