TRUST IN THE LORD

The Psalmist expressed faith in God in a marvelous way in Psalm 115 when he wrote, "O house of Israel, trust in the Lord – he is their help and shield. O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord – he is their help and shield. You who fear him, trust in the Lord – he is their help and shield."     Psalm 115:9-11.

Everyone who has been a child of God for any length of time realizes how difficult it is to always trust God. Especially when things are not going the way we want them to go. Yet, we MUST trust Him. Don't you like the idea that God is our help and shield? That indicates total protection from our enemies and from the events than often attempt to engulf our lives.

Read what the Psalmist says in the verses that follow:

"The Lord remembers us and will bless us: He will bless the house of Israel, he will bless the house of Aaron, he will bless those who fear the Lord – small and great alike. May the Lord make you increase, both you and your children. May you be blessed by the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth."
    Psalm 115:12-15.

If we trust Him, he will bless us. The Lord will bless both small and great alike. He will bless YOU! As I see it, there are some basic steps we need to take if we are going to be able to trust the Lord to the fullest.
We don't always know how things will turn out, but we do KNOW who is in charge of our lives. The Lord is! - And we trust Him!
