Helping The Church Grow

The growth of the church is a concern of elders, preachers, and church members. We all want to see the church moving forward. All too often churches stagnate and fail to grow because members are not doing their part to help the church achieve its goals. When people are making statements like "Let the preacher do it!" or "That’s the elder’s job!" or "That’s why we have deacons!" or "That’s not my job!" then the church will never reach its potential. Unless we all have a vested interest in helping the church to grow, then it is just not going to happen. Aren’t you glad the church here is encouraging all its members to become involved in the work of the Lord! We have a wonderful opportunity to grow.

Part of our plan is to encourage every single member to become more involved in the work of the church. You are being challenged to participate in a more active way. We want everyone to find their niche. God has gifted each member with a special ability and we want to match everyone up with that gift. Then, by working together, we can accomplish great things for the Master.

Below are some suggestions that will help each one of us to become more involved in the work of this congregation:

These ideas represent just a few of the things we can do to help the church grow.   Try them out and see how you like them.   "May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all," 2 Cor 13:14.   May He help us to do the things that will help this church grow!
