Regardless of how one attempts to describe God, his efforts become woefully inadequate. That is because our God is an awesome God!

          God's people throughout the ages always had a healthy sense of reverence for Jehovah God. Often their respect turned into fear that they would die because of having been in His presence. Read Isaiah chapter six or Revelation chapter four and you will see the magnificence and splendor that belongs to the one who created this Universe. Truly, our God is an awesome God!

          Here are a few of the reasons that cause us to stand in awe of our God:

• His Awesome Love - 1 John 4:8 -- "God is love,"
• His Awesome Gift - John 3:16 -- "He gave his one and only son."
• His Awesome Creation - Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
• His Awesome Provisions - James 1:17 -- "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights."
• His Awesome Holiness - Revelation 4:8 -- "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come,"

          "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."   (Revelation 4:11)

          Many other reasons could be cited to show the greatness of the Almighty. Let it suffice to say, our God is an Awesome God!
