Anxious Answers

It is a daily challenge to avoid being overwhelmed by our earthly world. Scripture keeps us focused and keeps things sorted out. Philippians 4: 6-7 helps me put life in perspective when my thoughts get scattered:

"Do not be anxious about anything"

I worry about my family, the world and the future even though in my heart I know God is in control. I fear that in my worry I fail the Lord.

"…but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God."

There is no failure with the Lord and those who love Him. I turn to prayer and thank God for all things -- the triumphs and the tragedies. I ask Him to comfort and bless me, to protect my loved ones and renew my faith.

"And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Praise be to You, God! You always answer my conflicted feelings with complete compassion. Your love is healing and Christ Jesus makes me strong. My understanding is not required, just my acceptance of God's grace.
